The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry.
Stabling – All horses must be stabled/corralled within 10 miles of the venue once they have been presented for vetting, and until the end of their competition. (This does not apply to class 7) This should be booked directly with stable owners from the official list (on the website under Accommodation & Stabling) all of which are within the required distance.
Vaccination against Equine Influenza – Proof of vaccination must be sent with entry, whether stabling or not.
Emergency First Aid Kits – It is recommended that riders carry an emergency first aid kit comprising: triangular bandage, whistle, glucose tablets, space blanket, wound dressing and bandage and vetwrap type bandage.
Acceptance of Rules – Making an entry constitutes implicit acceptance of both EGB rules and the additional Golden Horseshoe Special Rules included in the ride schedule (a copy of the Golden Horseshoe Special Rules can be downloaded here. The Board of Directors of EGB shall be the sole interpreter of the rules.
Disclaimer of Liability – Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers nor EGB nor the Exmoor National Park Authority, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, crew persons, spectators, land or any person or property whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

Rider sponsorship - Once again this year, we are asking for your financial help for the ride, by asking you to approach your local tack shop, feed supplier, farrier or other company to make a small donation to the Ride and they will receive, in return, an acknowledgement in the Golden Horseshoe Ride Programme. For a simple acknowledgement of their sponsorship for a particular rider the cost is £15 or, alternatively, they may wish to take out a Half Page (£20) or Full Page (£30) advertisement (black & white) or Full Page colour advertisement (£50).
If you would like a link to your own website, we shall be happy to include this on our Links page – the cost for this is £10 per link.
There is no limit to the number of sponsors any one rider/horse may have!
