Provisional Timetable of events for the 2012 Golden Horseshoe Ride
Saturday 12th May
8.00 am Venue open for Trade Stands to set up
1.00 pm Ride office opens for declarations for all classes
5.00 pm Ride office closes
7.00 pm Social Evening + Bingo with the Exford community in the marquee – advance bookings required for food. ‘Bring your own booze’
Sunday 13th May
8.00 am Ride office opens. Venue open for visitors to trade stands, demonstrations, etc. throughout day
9.00am - 10.30am Riders start in the Wessex Horseshoe Sponsored pleasure Ride
10.30 - 1.30 pm Displays and Demonstrations at venue, including Dog Agility Display
1.30 pm Close of declarations for Classes 1, 2 & 3
2.00 pm Vetting for Classes 1, 2 & 3, including compulsory Farrier inspection and Judging for Turnout and Handling Award
6.00 pm Compulsory Briefing for classes 1, 2, & 3.
Monday 14th May
7.30 am First horse starts in Golden Horseshoe Class 1, followed by Exmoor Stag Class 2
10.15 am Approx time for start of halfway vetting.
10.30 am First horse starts in Exmoor Experience Class 3.
12.00 pm Close of declarations for Class 4
1.30 pm Vetting starts for Exmoor Eighty Class 4, including compulsory Farrier inspection and Judging for Turnout and Handling Award
1.30 pm First horses due back at Venue.
6.00 pm Second Day Compulsory Briefing for classes 1, 2, 3 & 4. All competitors should also check the ride noticeboard
Tuesday 15th May
7.30 am First horse starts in Class 1 – in reverse order of finishing from Day 1, followed by Class 4
10.30 am First horse starts in Class 2 followed by Class 3 – both classes in reverse order of finishing from Day 1.
1.30 pm First horses due back at Venue.
7.00 pm Prize Giving
